Dr. Looysen grew up on a farm near Carrington, ND where her love for animals began.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from North Dakota State University and a degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Master’s Degree in Veterinary Pathology from Kansas State University.  Dr. Looysen has been working in Jamestown since graduating and started Country Acres Veterinary Clinic in 1994.  She is married to Dr. Steve Looysen who is an Optometrist.  They have 2 sons, Tyler an Ophthalmologist and Alex an Optometrist. Dr. Looysen enjoys outdoor activities especially hiking and snowshoeing.  Her pets include a golden retriever, cats and horses. 

Elizabeth joined Country Acres in November 2009.  Born and raised on the east coast, Elizabeth and her husband, Mark moved to Jamestown in 2001.  They have three adult children, Jacob, Braden and Karla all living outside of ND.  Elizabeth loves spending time outdoors - hiking, gardening, exploring and visiting various states to be with family and friends.  They have one cat, Kiwi.

Bobbi is a Jamestown native and joined our team in March 2022. Bobbi and her husband Jeremy have two wonderful children, Aubrey  and Shaw  and two fur babies, Koda and Charlie.  In Bobbi's free time, she enjoys playing softball, going to the races to watch her husband race and spending time with family and friends. 

Lisa has been a valued team member since August 2018.  Her background in computers and animal husbandry is invaluable and serves our clinic and clients well.  Lisa’s family has a ranch in Spiritwood, ND.  She and her husband Ryan are blessed with three children. Their son, Layne, works on the ranch; Chloe, attends VCSU and Alexa attends Jamestown High.  Lisa and the girls enjoy barrel racing during the summer.  Lisa says “Animals have always been a big part of my life. I couldn’t image life without them!”

Emily started with us in August of 2024 as a Jamestown High School senior. After graduation, Emily plans to attend college and pursue a career in the veterinary medicine field. In her free time, you can catch her traveling the state as a rodeo queen, riding her horse, hanging out with her friends, and much more. Emily currently has 4 fur babies of her own as well as a horse; Butter, Kermit, Paisley, and Vegas.
